Emergency and Future Planning

An emergency care plan will give you peace of mind by ensuring the person you look after will receive help in an emergency. The plan will detail their care needs including medication, support needs, daily routine, risks, family and friends contact details. We will give you a Carers Emergency Card to carry that will tell people you are a carer and someone vulnerable relies on you.
If you wish, you can also create a Future Plan, looking at longer term care for the person you care for.

Yes, if you are aged 50 and over and caring for someone, even if you do not live in the same house. You have to live in Renfrewshire, and the service is free.
